At 11:55 AM on Sunday, the second round of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Sepang event officially began. With temperatures exceeding 30 degrees Celsius in the air and over 40 degrees Celsius on the track surface, the high heat posed challenges for tire wear management and driver endurance.
Jason Chen and Harry He started as the lead drivers for this round, racing in the first half of the competition. Cars number 88 and 77 started from second place in the Pro-Am category and fifth place in the Am category, respectively. After completing the warm-up lap, the race commenced, with Jason Chen making a steady start and gaining two positions early on, while Harry He patiently awaited opportunities to attack.
Andre Couto, driving car number 88 Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo EVO2, pushed aggressively after leaving the pit lane, setting multiple fastest laps and securing the lead position in the category with a time of 2:09.469.
In the final 15 minutes, Andre Couto advanced to seventh place overall, further consolidating the lead in the category. Couto ultimately crossed the finish line in first place in the Pro-Am category, securing the championship for the second consecutive round alongside his teammate Jason Chen.
In the final stages of the race, Stephen Hong of car number 77 demonstrated excellent performance, executing another impressive overtaking manoeuvre to reach tenth place overall. With the checkered flag waved, Harry He and Stephen Hong successfully broke through, clinching third place in the Am category and standing on the podium for the first time in this season's Super Trofeo event!
